Treasure hunt in Kongens Have
Hans Christian Andersen’s lost fairy tale has blown across the garden. Find the eight pages by the castle, the rose garden and the statues – and race to the middle.
The Fairy Tale Hunt
The stops are already on the map. The phone shows the way, each question unlocks when the team is standing at the stop, and every team starts at a different stop, so nobody runs in a crowd.
Once the hunt is created, you can edit the questions, change the game and choose how many stops you want.
Or customise it first – age, teams and how to win.
How the hunt works
Choose how to win
Teams solve all the stops in any order they like. When the last one is solved, the phone shows the way to the finish – the first team there wins.
Most correct answers wins, and if it is a tie, the fastest team wins. Good when some would rather walk at an easy pace.
Every answer gives a letter, and the letters spell a secret word. You choose the word and adjust the answers, so it takes a little preparation.
How teams answer
- The stop opens on the spot
The question unlocks when the team is within 35 metres of the stop. No notes or codes to put up.
- Type the answer
The team types the answer on the phone. Capital letters do not matter, a single typo in long words is accepted, and several answers count – e.g. both "5" and "five".
- Or multiple choice
The team can also pick from four answers instead of typing. Choose ages 3–8 when you customise the hunt, and every question becomes multiple choice – or switch it on for single questions.
- Help along the way
After three wrong answers, a hint appears, a stop can be skipped if it is blocked.
